We here at Forn Sidr of America would like to wish each and every one of y’all a happy and joyous Jul/Yule for 2021. I hope through all the trials and tribulations of 2021 this year has been kind to you. I hope your deities and ancestors have given you many blessings and that they continue to do so. Thank you all for all the support you have shown us this year – from helping us with our trademark case to continuing to engage with us on social media.
This is a time where we come together with those who we love and our community to celebrate the season. I wanted to take a moment to talk about the importance of community and belonging in Forn Sidr of America. We here at Forn welcome you in our heathenry. Whether you are LGBTQIA+ or BIPOC, theist or nontheist, atheist, new or long studied, a mixture of any of the above, those who consider themselves to be done with religion altogether, or a duel belonger. We want you to know that you are welcome and that you belong in Forn Sidr of America and in Heathery.
We cannot wait to engage with you in the coming year and to begin to really build deep roots and an inclusive heathen community here in Colorado! Please stay tuned to the offerings and updates we will be provided in the coming weeks and months. I really hope Covid will have soon declined enough and that we can be together to celebrate our blots and ancestors.
Jul or Yule is a time to feast, drink, honor our deities and ancestors and be with each other to build lasting memories that remind us of the warmth and joy that can exist in positive human relations. It is also a time for us to rest, relax and get to take time for self-care, so please as you are spending time during this yuletide take care of yourself and those you love.
